Hello everyone,
Currently sitting in our beautiful Information Commons, I am gazing out upon the wonders of our lake. It’s absolutely breathtaking. Seeing something so evanescent and so beautiful often makes me realize the beauty of my own life. I was hoping I could take a few moments with you to think about the beauty of our own lives and the sheer evanescence of life itself. Last Thursday, a terrible tragedy struck Northern University rendering six lives lost. Let us take a few moments to pray or remember those individuals whose lives were asked of them. Those students were students just like us, sitting in a lecture hall like we do every day. They were men and women with futures ahead of them, whose goals and dreams were silenced with one foul act. They were men and women walking in our shoes, living our life. I pray that God will hold their families in the palm of his hand and that the lives lost will always be remembered and cherished.
In loving memory of Ryanne Mace, Gayle Dubowski, Daniel Parmenter, Julianna Gehant, Catalina Garcia, and Steve Kazmierczak--Men and women like us.
